On September 25, October23 and December 4th, 2010, Mad Science of St. Louis will host high-energy, interactive science workshops to help your troop earn their Brownie patch or Boy Scout requirement in one visit!

  • $8.00 per scout
  • $4.00 per adult
  • Classes are at 9:30 & 11:00 am
  • 22 scouts per session
  • 60 minute sessions
  • Scouts may purchase discounted train & trolley ride tickets when making original reservation during seasonal operation

Brownie Girl Scouts Science Wonders Try-It: The girls will learn about states of matter, acid/base chemistry, physical & chemical changes, magnetism, electricity, and sublimination.

Scout Science WorkshopWebelos Boy Scouts Scientist Badge (Technology group): The boys will complete all of the following experiments and demonstrations to complete the requirements for this badge.

  1. Bernoulli's Principle: Under Pressure (System 3)
  2. Newton's Laws of Motion: Rocket Demo (System 1), Rockin' Rockets & Aerodynamics (Camp Week 4), Forces (System 3)
  3. Air Pressure: Under Pressure (System 3)
  4. Crystal Formation: Che-Mystery (System 3)
  5. Center of Gravity: Forces (System 3), Great Gravity (System 5)
  6. Optical Illusions: Optical Illusions (System 2)
  7. Fog: Walloping Weather (System 4)
