Labor Day is the perfect holiday to spend at the National Museum of Transportation! Come see what the great American spirit and dedication of generations produced.

Always a special treat, our trolley will be running on Labor Day and is included with your admission.

Our hours and activities on Monday, September 4th, are as follow: Self-Guided Tours: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Public Tour: 10 a.m. Miniature Train: 9:20 a.m.-1:20 p.m. Trolley: 9:20 a.m. – 3:20 p.m. Handcar Village (weather permitting): 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Creation Station: 9:15, 10:30 & 11:45 a.m.

Reminder: Mark your calendars for our spectacular Saturday, September 23rd extravaganza featuring an animal-named car show (so Jaguar, Beetle, etc.), a Trabant raffle, a Plein Air artist painting event, etc. If you go to the Smithsonian Live website here, you can print tickets to admit you and a guest free on September 23rd if you select the National Museum of Transportation on Barrett Station Road in St. Louis MO.
