Our bloomers are showing. Oops!

Come see the Museum of Transportation’s gorgeous lavender spikes of liatris and white, ball-like flowers of rattlesnake master. Our tiniest transporters are busy little bees with the beautiful plantings and addition of a Pollinary Park. Our pollinator friends seem to prefer the heat that makes us retreat inside.

The museum does have inside facilities when the hot summer weather and blazing sun drive us into the air-conditioning. The William R. and Laura Rand Orthwein Education & Visitor Center and Earl C. Lindburg Automobile Center are cool and comfy, even when the thermometer rises. The Creation Station is in our Visitor Center and is a hands-on learning environment dedicated to introducing children five-and-under to all modes of transportation while focusing on developing and enriching the primary early learning skills.
