Santa is in on Dec. 16th

Santa is visiting the Museum, without his reindeer to let them rest for the big day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th. Come see Santa, ride our miniature train and “track” our Macy’s trains as they “choo-choo” through our Orthwein Visitor’s display. Yes indeed, we have the former downtown St. Louis Famous-Barr miniature train display in full running order. Check our calendar of events for more

Santa with Reindeer and Visits Via Helicopter

Santa has chosen to celebrate the holidays this Friday and Saturday, November 24th and 25th, at St. Louis's very own National Museum of Transportation. Friday the 24th, Santa and live reindeer will visit with children from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at our Orthwein Center. Bring those requests! Saturday the 25th, Santa flies in by helicopter near Orthwein at 10 a.m. and will be visiting with children until 2 p.m. Since Santa will have really enjoyed his Thanksgiving feast, there won't be enough room in the helicopter for Rudolph. No matter--seeing Santa fly in just to listen to kiddo's requests will be perfect! The miniature train will be operating both days from 9:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Can't make it to see Santa but still want to ride the train? Sunday the 26th would be a fabulous day for that excursion, 11:40 a.m. to 3:20
